Establishment: The TNTJ District Markaz in Theni was formally established in 2006. Social and Civic Activism: The Markaz is nationally recognised for its non-religious social contributions. It serves as the primary coordination centre for the district's blood donation camps, disaster relief operations, and anti-dowry campaigns. It also offers free educational guidance and moral counselling for local youth. Tamil Khutbah and Dawah: In line with the movement’s mission to make religion accessible, the weekly Friday Jumu'ah sermons and all daily discourses are delivered exclusively in Tamil. The Markaz also functions as a Dawah (outreach) centre, conducting public awareness programs on Islamic monotheism. Ramadan Hub: During the holy month of Ramadan, the Markaz hosts large-scale communal Iftars and nightly Taraweeh prayers, characterised by their simplicity and adherence to prophetic traditions. Location and Connectivity: The Markaz is centrally located near NRT Nagar and NGO Colony, offering a focused environment for worship while remaining highly accessible to the city's commercial and administrative core. Minimalist Design: Following the Thowheed philosophy of avoiding architectural extravagance, the masjid features a clean, functional, and spacious design focused on maximizing prayer capacity and utility for community gatherings. Administrative Hub: The building houses the district administrative offices of the TNTJ, including the student wing and medical wing coordination rooms. Strategic Access: Its proximity to the Theni-Periyakulam Main Road and the District Collectorate makes it a highly convenient prayer and meeting stop for professionals, government employees, and travellers.
