Dargah Hazrat Shah Qasim Haqqani (AR) is a revered Sufi shrine situated in Fateh Kadal, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The dargah is dedicated to Hazrat Shah Muhammad Qasim Haqqani (R.A.), a distinguished 16th-century Sufi saint of the Kubravi Silsilah, who was born in 1551 CE and became renowned for his spiritual scholarship, piety, and deep influence on the religious life of Kashmir. Although primarily associated with the Kubravi order, he is also remembered for receiving spiritual instruction in other major Sufi traditions, including the Qadriya, Naqshbandiya, Chistiya, and Shazliya orders. This broad spiritual lineage enhanced his standing as a unifying and respected figure among devotees. Located in the historic old city area, the shrine is popularly known as Nar Peer Astan and has long served as a center of divine remembrance, spiritual reflection, and community devotion. It remains an important symbol of Kashmir’s rich Sufi heritage, where shrines have historically played central roles in promoting peace, learning, and moral guidance. The annual Urs celebration of Hazrat Shah Qasim Haqqani (R.A.) is observed with great reverence, drawing devotees from different parts of the Valley who gather for prayers, recitations, and remembrance ceremonies. Architecturally, the shrine reflects the traditional Kashmiri shrine style with a modest yet spiritually resonant structure suited to the urban setting of Fateh Kadal.
