Jumma Masjid, Gandikota Fort is a significant Islamic monument dating back to the mid-17th century (circa 1650 CE), constructed under the patronage of Mir Jumla, the powerful military commander and administrator of the Qutb Shahi Sultanate of Golconda. Situated within the formidable walls of Gandikota Fort, the mosque was established at a time when Gandikota served as an important administrative, military, and trade hub in the Deccan region. Architecturally, the mosque reflects mature Indo-Islamic design sensibilities, featuring a striking façade with triple arched entrances, elegant minarets, and well-proportioned prayer spaces adorned with geometric vaulting.
