The tomb, located near the tomb of Shaikh Salahuddin, a prominent saint of the Surhawardi Sect and contemporary of Roshan Chirag-i-Delhi, is a notable heritage structure that adds historical value to the surrounding area. While the exact identity of the individual buried here is unclear, local tradition suggests that it is the tomb of a saint, as passed down through popular memory. The structure was originally constructed as a tomb, but over time, it has been repurposed as a shelter. Architecturally, the tomb is built in the Lodi style, typical of the Lodi dynasty's architectural legacy in Delhi. The tomb's structure is square in plan, with a dome that is supported by twelve columns, which rise from an octagonal drum. The overall dimensions of the structure are 5.1 square meters. Surrounding the building, a chajja, or overhanging eaves, is constructed using Delhi quartzite stone. The chajja is adorned with sandstone battlements and features ornamentation on the underside of the dome, which is done with incised plaster work. However, the chajja has partially collapsed, and the space between the supporting pillars has been filled in with brick masonry. The tomb is primarily constructed using rubble masonry, which is then coated with plaster to give it a finished appearance. The use of these materials reflects the typical construction methods of the time, emphasizing durability while also contributing to the aesthetic value of the structure. Despite its repurposing, the tomb remains a significant architectural and cultural landmark, evoking a sense of history and reverence for the saint it is believed to honor.
