Commissioned by Ashrafunnisa, the mosque was constructed alongside an Imambara adjacent to the Begum Kothi. While the Imambara now stands roofless, the mosque remains notably intact, with its ceilings preserved?a rarity among the Residency's edifices. Historically, the mosque has been a center for religious gatherings. Every Friday at 4 p.m., following the Munajaat of Ghaar ki Karbala, a Hadith-e-Kisa and Munajaat program takes place, culminating in an Alam procession from the mosque to the Imambara. This tradition continues to be witnessed by many devotees. Today, the mosque, with its well-preserved structure and historical significance, offers visitors a glimpse into the spiritual and cultural life of the era, standing as a serene monument amidst the remnants of the Residency's tumultuous past.
