The site is located approximately 1.5 km south of JLN Stadium Metro Station on Bhishma Pitamah Marg, with entry through Gate No. 1. The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, while the closest railway station is Nizamuddin. For those traveling by bus, JLN Stadium Bus Stand serves as the nearest stop, ensuring convenient access to the site.
The building, with its distinctive architectural character, is situated on a low mound and features a 16-sided structure. Each side includes a deeply recessed arch, adding to its unique design. Access to the terrace is available from the south, where a flight of steps leads to the roof. On the roof, there is an octagonal platform adorned with three plastered cenotaphs, the central one being slightly larger and intricately decorated with calligraphy and Quranic inscriptions on an incised plaster finish. The actual graves are located in the center of the lower storey, which can be accessed through two bay openings. The tomb is constructed using rubble masonry coated with plaster and incorporates local stone as part of its materials.
