Abdul Rehman Masjid, also known locally as the Yatim Khana Masjid, is situated in Maria Puram, Kadapa, within the city’s established old residential network. The mosque developed as part of Kadapa’s urban religious landscape, where neighborhood masjids were established to serve closely packed communities and support daily worship needs. Over time, it became associated with the nearby yatim khana (orphan care institution), giving it a strong community-service identity in addition to its religious function.
