The structure does not appear to have been originally built as a tomb. However, an inscription on the grave inside suggests that Bai Kodaldai, about whom no historical information is available, was buried here in 1669-70 AD. This burial occurred more than a century after the construction of the building, indicating that the structure may have served a different purpose before being repurposed as a tomb. There is no traditional or local information available regarding the historical or cultural significance of the site. The architectural style of the building is distinctly Mughal, reflecting the design elements commonly associated with Mughal-era structures. The tomb is an exceptional rectangular pavilion measuring approximately 4 meters by 3.5 meters. Originally, it featured three arched entrances on each of its four sides. The interior consists of a rectangular chamber with a vaulted roof. The northern entrance is semi-blocked, while the eastern, western, and southern entrances have been entirely closed off with brick walls. The exterior of the structure is characterized by decorative elements, including mouldings at the cornice level and an inverted lotus cresting at the top of the vaulted dome. However, the historical and aesthetic value of the building has been compromised due to the construction of new buildings surrounding it, which have significantly altered its original ornamentation and architectural integrity. The structure is built using a combination of rubble and brick masonry, with the domed roof constructed from locally sourced stone and finished with plaster. These materials were commonly used during the Mughal period, ensuring durability while allowing for intricate detailing in the architectural design.
