The Late Mughal mosque, likely constructed around the same time as the house of Badal Beg Khan, is located in close proximity to the haveli of Nawwab Badal Beg Khan, which was built in 1853-54 AD. This mosque is commonly referred to as the Sirki Walan's Mosque. It continues to serve the community with regular prayers and other important religious ceremonies. Architecturally, the mosque follows the Mughal style, characterized by its distinct features and elegant design. The building is made from red sandstone and measures approximately 10 meters by 4.57 meters. It is a two-storeyed structure. The ground floor or basement serves as the mosque?s floor, containing several compartments now used as shops. The upper floor features a spacious courtyard and a prayer chamber divided into three compartments, accessed by a flight of eleven steps. The mosque is crowned with large bulbous domes, with the central dome being larger than the two smaller side domes. The central dome is topped with an inverted lotus cresting and a pinnacle. Additionally, a series of miniature domes adorn the parapet, each decorated with leaf patterns. The mosque has three arched entrances, with the central archway standing out as the most prominent feature of the facade, though it has minimal carvings. Inside, the mosque has three mihrabs, with the central mihrab painted in a blend of pink and green. An inscription is placed above the central arch. To protect the structure, a fiber sheet roof has been added, partially covering the courtyard. The construction materials used for the mosque include Lakhori brick, sandstone, terrazzo, and local stone, which are common materials in Mughal architecture. The combination of these materials gives the mosque its enduring beauty and structural integrity.
