Baba Farīduddīn Ganjshakar, a 12th-century Sufi saint and mystic, had three wives and eight children, including five sons and three daughters. One of his wives, Hazabara, was the daughter of Sulṭān Nasīruddīn Maḥmūd. Among his children, Baba Burhan Uddin Sakkar was one of the notable figures. The site associated with Baba Farīduddīn Ganjshakar does not appear to have any significant traditional or local information available, which suggests a lack of detailed oral history or specific cultural narratives tied to the site. Architecturally, the structure is built in the Tughlaq style, which is known for its robust construction and large-scale designs. The building is rectangular in shape, and the grave lies in the center of an enclosed space, making it the focal point of the structure. Access to the enclosure is through a gateway located on the southern side. A short wall with a modern marble tablet stands prominently at the northern end of the courtyard. The courtyard itself is covered with a vaulted green plastic sheet supported by an MS frame, which is a modern addition to the site. The grave enclosure is constructed using rubble masonry at the plinth level, providing a strong foundation. However, additions and alterations have been made over time with modern brickwork and cement plaster, which are materials that contrast with the original construction. These changes reflect the ongoing maintenance and modifications to the structure, blending traditional and modern materials.
