Abd al-Haqq al-Dehlawi, born in 1551 in Delhi, was a prominent Islamic scholar, Sufi, and author. In 1587, he undertook the pilgrimage to Mecca, where he spent three years studying hadith and Sufism under various scholars. Upon returning to Delhi, he dedicated himself to teaching for approximately fifty years and authored over 100 works. Notable among his writings are a history of Medina and a compilation on the lives of saints. He passed away in 1642 in Delhi, and his mausoleum is located at the edge of Hauz-i-Shamsi near Qutub Minar in Mehrauli.
