Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar Dargah Sharif, popularly known as Unava Sharif, is a prominent Sufi shrine dedicated to Hazrat Saiyed Ali Mira Datar (R.A.), located in Unava village near Unjha in Gujarat’s Mehsana district. The shrine’s traditional biographical account records his birth on 29 Ramadan 879 AH, corresponding to 4 August 1426 CE, and identifies him as belonging to a Husaini Sayyid family. The title “Mira Datar” is traditionally interpreted as referring to bravery and generosity. The dargah stands within a distinctive fort-like complex near the Pushpavati River and has become an important pilgrimage destination for devotees from Gujarat and other parts of India. People from different religious communities visit to offer prayers, present chadars, make vows, and participate in religious gatherings. The shrine is particularly known for its annual Urs, observed according to the Islamic lunar calendar, which attracts large numbers of pilgrims. A Gujarat State Highways Project environmental assessment also documented the dargah as a historic cultural property more than 300 years old, indicating its longstanding regional significance.
