This mosque was built by Abu Said during the reign of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah. Abu Said was the inquisitor and official investigator of Delhi. Local/Traditional Description No local or traditional descriptions are associated with this built heritage/site. Architectural Style The mosque follows the Indo-Persian architectural style. Description of the Building/Structure/Site The mosque has been completely renovated. It is constructed on a rectangular plan and is elevated on a raised platform. The structure is double-storied and features a large prayer hall with a spacious courtyard, bordered on the eastern side by a Madarsa (Islamic school). The prayer chamber consists of domed bays, with an inscription over the central arch. The underside of the dome is adorned with intricate floral patterns. Building/Structure Materials Walls: Made of Lakhori bricks with plaster. Floor: Made of marble. Roof: Domed structure built with brick masonry.
