Shaikh Farid Murtaza Khan was a contemporary of Emperor Akbar and Jahangir. During their reigns, he held the rank of 5000 and served as the Governor of Gujarat and later Punjab. He is also believed to have constructed several caravanserais. Local / Traditional Description Associated with the Built Heritage / Site N/A Architectural Style Mughal Description of the Building / Structure / Site The enclosure contains a plastered grave with a Qalamdan placed over it. At the head of the grave, there is an inscribed slab measuring 2.1 meters in height. The grave is located within an enclosure that contains several other graves, all constructed using rubble masonry. Building / Structure Material and Other Components The enclosure is built using random rubble masonry and is plastered with lime wash, except for the Qalamdan, which is made of marble.
