This traditional well was constructed for public use in a historically significant area that was once surrounded by various tombs and mosques. Locally, it is known for providing salt-free water, which is considered beneficial for drinking and domestic purposes. Architecturally, the structure follows the Indo-Persian style. Built on a plinth, the well is centrally located within a hexagonal chamber and features three arched openings. The structure is hypaethral (open to the sky), with outer walls designed with decorative alcoves. The niches at the entrance are particularly impressive, adding to the aesthetic value of the site. The well is covered with a trellis for safety, and the entrance is secured with an iron gate. The building materials used include lakhori bricks, random rubble masonry, and Delhi quartzite, all plastered with lime mortar and cement. The gateway is equipped with an iron grilled gate, reflecting a blend of traditional craftsmanship and functional design.
