This structure is a residential building from the late Mughal period, located within the walled city of Shahjahanabad. Although not much is known about its historical background, it stands as one of the significant historic havelis of the area. It showcases the distinctive Indo-Persian architectural style prevalent during the Mughal era, a period known for its artistic and structural innovation. The entrance to the haveli is through a pointed arched gateway built on a raised platform. This gateway features ornamental multi-foliated arch designs, along with traces of floral and geometric decorations that are still visible. On either side of the gateway, there are small cusped niches that were likely used to place earthen lamps during the night. The stone platforms, locally referred to as otlas, may have served as seating areas for social gatherings or business activities. A projected balcony, supported by intricately carved stone brackets, adds to the architectural elegance of the building. This grand gateway opens into a central courtyard, following the typical layout of Mughal-era havelis. The structure is constructed using bricks and is plastered with cement. The facade is composed of red sandstone and is coated with a white distemper paint. The flooring throughout the building is made of stone, contributing to both its durability and aesthetic appeal.
