The residence was constructed during the late Mughal period in the suburbs of the Mughal capital city, Shahjahanabad, and was built by Mirza Nazaf Khan. Architecturally, it follows the Indo-Persian style, combining elements from both Indian and Persian traditions. The building is rectangular in plan and features a large central courtyard surrounded by rooms on all four sides, designed for residential purposes. There are two entrances to the courtyard: a smaller side entrance and a larger, more prominent main entrance. The main entrance is particularly impressive, with a broad pointed arch doorway formed by a multi-cuspid arch design. The parapet above features intricate lattice screens, adding to the aesthetic appeal. The adjacent part of the main façade has been renovated in recent times. The structure is primarily built using Lakhori brick masonry with cement and is finished with a lime coating. Wooden doors are used throughout the building.
