The mosque was built by Qudsia Begum, who is also known for creating the famous Qudsia Garden on the banks of the Yamuna River. Architecturally, the mosque follows the Indo-Persian style, blending elements from both Indian and Persian traditions. The structure features three prominent ribbed domes constructed in the Shahjahani style, which are fine examples of bulbous domes. These domes are adorned with inverted lotus motifs and crowned with decorative pinnacles. The central ceiling of the mosque is circular and showcases intricate and impressive decorative patterns. The building is constructed using lakori bricks and finished with lime mortar plaster. The domes, however, are plastered with cement and painted with distemper, highlighting a blend of traditional and slightly modern restoration techniques.
