The Mori Bastion is a significant part of the Mori Gate, which was one of the original 14 gates of the walled city of Shahjahanabad, constructed during the Mughal period. Located to the north of the city, Mori Gate served as a vital access point in the fortified wall. The architectural style of the structure reflects a blend of Indo-Persian design elements. The bastion is built on a square plan and features two short yet imposing corner structures. These corners are adorned with arcaded niches, adding to the visual appeal of the architecture. The parapet wall is decorated with the traditional Kangoora battlement pattern, a common feature in Mughal military architecture. The entire structure is constructed using rubble stone masonry and lime mortar, showcasing traditional construction techniques of the period.
