The site holds historical significance as it is believed that the courtyard of this house was where the renowned poet Mirza Ghalib got married. The architectural style of the structure is Indo-Persian, reflecting a blend of Indian and Persian influences. The house is accessed through a gateway built in the Indo-Islamic style, featuring semi-circular multicusped arches that enhance its aesthetic appeal. Supporting the chajja above the gateway are intricately designed brackets in typical Rajput style. The sides of the gateway have undergone renovation to preserve their structure and appearance. The building is primarily constructed using lakhori bricks with a coating of lime plaster, while the decorative brackets are made of sandstone, adding both strength and elegance to the overall design.
