This mosque is believed to have been built during the late Mughal period, although there is no significant historical information available about its origin. It continues to serve the local Muslim community, who gather here for congregational prayers. Architecturally, the mosque reflects a modern style, though it was once a beautiful structure. Unfortunately, the renovation and restoration work carried out did not adhere to proper heritage conservation principles. Today, only the original gateway remains intact. This arcaded gateway features foliated arches adorned with floral designs. Two small domical structures, topped with inverted lotus and finial motifs, rest on the pilasters. A hanging eave resembling a Bengali Chhatri is superimposed over the entrance arch, adding to the aesthetic appeal. The façade is richly decorated with floral patterns. The mosque is constructed using bricks and plastered with cement, while the walls are embellished with multi-coloured tiles.
