This late Mughal-era mosque, built during the reign of Mohammad Shah by Nawab Sharalud-Daula, is an architectural replica of the Shahjahani style mosques. It holds significant religious importance as a sacred space for Friday prayers. The structure is a double-storeyed building, with a long row of shops on the ground floor facing the main market. The mosque features grand, bulbous domes adorned with inverted lotus motifs and metallic pinnacles, crafted in a ribbed pattern using black marble strips. Currently, only two of these domes remain. A minaret stands at one corner of the mosque, while turrets with pendentive designs are oriented in various directions. Another striking feature is the battlemented parapet. Unfortunately, recent alterations and encroachments have compromised the aesthetic integrity of the monument. The mosque has three entrances, each bearing inscriptions. In terms of construction, the walls are made of bricks and finished with lime plaster. The railings and parapets are constructed from Delhi quartzite, the domes from red sandstone and white marble, and the floor is laid with cement.
