The beautifully landscaped Mughal garden, built during the reign of Emperor Muhammad Shah (1719–1748), is a significant example of Mughal architectural heritage. The garden was established by Roz Afzun Nazir, a celebrated Khwaja Sara (eunuch) of the emperor, and is named after him. The western gateway of the garden bears an inscription praising the creation of the garden, stating that it was planted in obedience to the emperor's command and likening its beauty to the gardens of paradise. The inscription dates the garden to the year 1161 Hijri, corresponding to the 21st year of Muhammad Shah’s reign. Architecturally, the site is a large walled Mughal-style garden featuring red sandstone pavilions and baradaris. It includes two central pavilions, a large building on the eastern wall, and is enclosed by high walls with gateways on all four sides. While the original north and west gateways are no longer in use, entry is now from the east through a break in the wall, leading to the central pavilion via a flight of steps. The garden structure is primarily built with random rubble masonry, local grey stone, and red sandstone.
