The building was commissioned by Sheikh Alauddin, the grandson of Sheikh Farid of Shakarganj, a revered Sufi mystic who was regarded as a spiritual figure. The architectural style of the structure reflects Indo-Persian influences. The mosque is constructed on a rectangular plan featuring three bays, with a single bay in depth. It has three pointed arched openings on the eastern side and one each on the northern and southern sides. The monument includes multiple arch-shaped niches and a kangoora battlement along the parapet wall. The Qibla wall contains a recessed arched niche within a rectangular frame, while the back side of the wall features several niches and dalans. The central ceiling of the mosque is ornately decorated. The building is constructed using lakori bricks bound with lime mortar and finished with cement plaster. Red sandstone is used at the lintel level, while the basement and compound walls are made from random rubble masonry and Delhi quartzite.
