The impressive mosque, popularly known as Bagichi-Ki-Masjid, was built during the Lodi era and is located in the historic city of Mehrauli. It earned its name due to its construction in a wooded area (Bagichi). The mosque features a domed gateway, an enclosure wall with corner turrets, and a large open courtyard. The façade is beautifully adorned with pointed arched openings and niches, while the parapets of both the gateway and the walls are decorated with Kangoora (battlement) patterns. The Qibla wall contains seven Mihrabs, with the central Mihrab being the largest and richly decorated with Kangooras, turrets, medallions, and niches. The other Mihrabs also share similar decorative elements. Architecturally, the mosque stands as a remarkable example of Lodi-period craftsmanship. The structure is built using stone random rubble masonry, bricks, and lime mortar, and it is finished with a layer of lime plaster.
