Sayyid Muhammad was the son of the revered Sufi saint Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki. The site holds deep religious and cultural significance, as devotees frequently visit to offer prayers and perform rituals using flowers, incense sticks, and oil lamps. The architectural style of the structure is medieval, reflecting the traditional designs of that era. The main feature is a plaster grave enclosed within a marble balustrade, usually kept covered with a green chaddar, and it is venerated alongside the grave of Qutub Sahib. Another grave within the same enclosure is believed to belong to a descendant of Qutub Sahib. The structure is built using stone and brick masonry, with lime mortar applied on the stone, showcasing the durability and craftsmanship of historical construction techniques.
