The mosque is believed to have been built by a darvish named Gulchashm during the reign of Akbar II. It continues to serve as an active place of worship, where regular prayers and important religious ceremonies are held, including activities associated with a madarsa. Architecturally, the mosque reflects the Mughal style and consists of three bays with a prominent central archway topped by a pointed arch and an emphasized cusped arch. The structure is roofed with a vault, and there is a three-arched dalan on the northern side. The interior was originally adorned with paintings and incised plaster work. Over time, the mosque has been extended with a sandstone roof supported by three columns, and both the gateway and the dalan have undergone renovation. The building is primarily constructed using rubble and brick masonry, finished with plaster, while sandstone and bricks have also been used. The floor is cemented, and later additions and alterations were made using modern bricks, cement, and concrete.
