The mosque, located within the courtyard known as the house of Ali Bahadur—the first Nawab of Banda—is a fine example of Mughal architecture. Regular prayers and important religious ceremonies continue to be held at the mosque, reflecting its ongoing spiritual significance. Architecturally, the mosque features three bays, entered through a well-decorated arched entrance. The facade, made of buff-coloured sandstone, is adorned with floral engravings. Each bay is roofed with a flat dome and separated by pointed arches, above which are cusped arches, adding to the mosque’s elegance. The western Qibla wall contains five mihrab recesses, with the central mihrab being particularly deep and prominent due to the elevation of the wall at that point. Small decorative niches are placed between the mihrabs and the arched bays. The mosque remains in its original form and is painted in green and yellow. Constructed using rubble and Lakhori brick masonry finished with plaster, the structure’s facade uses buff-coloured sandstone, while the floor is cemented.
