The structure, dating back to the Khalji period, was originally a double-storeyed pavilion situated at the center of the Hauz Khas Tank. Architecturally built in the Khilji style, it stands on an artificial mound and measures approximately 10.35 square meters. Each of its four sides is pierced by arched doorways, indicating a symmetrical layout. Although the dome that once crowned the building has now vanished, the four walls remain intact up to a height of about 2.75 meters. A staircase at the eastern entrance leads up to the roof, suggesting accessibility to the now-lost upper storey. Stone base pillars embedded in the side walls further indicate the existence of an upper level that no longer survives. The structure is built using rubble masonry, a common construction technique of that period.
