Shaikh Burhanuddin Mahmud Balkhi lived during the reign of Ghiyasuddin Balban and was renowned for his scholarship and piety. The site does not have any specific local or traditional description associated with it. Architecturally, the structure reflects the medieval style. The grave, which is finished with plaster, is built on a platform measuring approximately 2.16 meters by 1 meter and stands 0.7 meters high. It is enclosed by rubble masonry. Originally, there was a low wall featuring a mihrab (a niche indicating the direction of Mecca) located at the center of the western side of the platform. The structure is primarily built using rubble masonry, with the grave itself plastered for finishing.
