Rajon ki Baoli, also known as Rajon ki Bain, is a historic stepwell located in the Mehrauli Archaeological Park in Delhi, India. It was built in 1506 CE by Daulat Khan, an administrator of the Lodi dynasty during the Delhi Sultanate. The name "Rajon" refers to masons, not kings, indicating its dedication to the artisan community. Renowned for its impressive Lodi-era architecture, the baoli is the largest and most intricately designed of the three stepwells in the park. Rectangular in layout, it features four stages of descending steps, each with floors that lead down to the water level. The structure resembles a medieval courtyard, with beautifully carved symmetrical arches and columned passages in the North Indian architectural style. The rooms along each level once served as resting places for visitors. Located near the Dargah of Qutb-ud-Din Bakhtiyar Kaki, a prominent Sufi saint, the baoli stands as a symbol of Delhi's rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
