Tucked within the residential lanes of Ali Nagar Colony, adjacent to Police Colony in Anisabad, Ali Nagar Jama Masjid stands as a quiet yet powerful spiritual beacon in the southern outskirts of Patna, Bihar. Surrounded by homes, schools, and everyday life, the mosque plays a deeply integrated role in the lives of those who call this neighborhood home. Built in the early 2000s, the mosque emerged as the Ali Nagar locality expanded and the need for a permanent congregational prayer space grew. Community members came together—donating funds, offering voluntary labor, and planning with local religious scholars—to ensure the masjid would meet both functional and spiritual needs. The masjid’s structure is graceful yet practical, with a rectangular prayer hall that accommodates approximately 200 worshippers. A small dome crowns the roof, and the façade is modest, typically whitewashed or lightly tiled with Islamic motifs. A single minaret rises above, from which the Adhan resonates clearly across the surrounding colony. On a quiet morning, the call to prayer feels like a soft thread weaving the neighborhood into sacred rhythm.
