Set amidst the urban hum of Kankarbagh, near the busy Chirayantand Chouraha, the Jama Masjid of Karbigahia stands as a steady spiritual landmark. Built to meet the growing needs of one of Patna’s most populous residential areas, the mosque has grown with the community—offering a tranquil and organized space for Islamic worship in a highly active zone of the city. While the exact year of its construction is not widely documented, locals trace the mosque’s beginnings to the late 1990s or early 2000s, as Karbigahia expanded into a densely residential hub. The surrounding roads connect to Kankarbagh, Rajendra Nagar, and Patna Junction, making the mosque easily accessible to those commuting, studying, or working nearby. The architecture is simple and service-oriented—a white-painted exterior with subtle green accents, a flat roof with a small central dome, and a single minaret which carries the Adhan clearly across nearby lanes and railway quarters.
