The Phase‑I Dumduma LIG (Low‑Income Group) colony was completed around 1985–87 under a housing scheme by the Khurda district housing authority . As families settled there, the mosque was built to meet the community’s religious needs. While there’s no formal historical record detailing its precise founding date, this informal establishment likely occurred around the same time as the colony’s development—during the late 1980s. Since then, the mosque has served as a familiar spiritual and communal landmark for local Muslims in the Jadupur–Dumduma neighborhood.
