Kheir‑ul‑Masjid Wald Moabid (Hauz Wali Masjid)

Kheir‑ul‑Masjid, also known as Hauz Wali Masjid, is a historic 17th‑century Islamic shrine in Khair Nagar, Meerut. Built by a noted Mughal noble, it remains a local landmark.

Established around 1690–1691 AD, this mosque was commissioned by Nawab Khair Andesh Khan, a prominent Mughal official entrusted with significant responsibilities under Emperor Aurangzeb. The structure reflects luxurious Mughal architecture and historical gravitas, typical of imperial religious constructions of that era. Though lesser-known today in global circles, it serves as a religious and cultural anchor within the Meerut community, representing an important connection to the city’s rich Mughal heritage .
