Built to cater to the spiritual needs of the local population, the masjid conducts daily salah, Jumu’ah prayers, and hosts gatherings during Ramadan and Eid. A hub for Quranic education and neighborhood unity, it is a space where faith and tradition converge. The mosque also serves as a meeting point for the elderly and local youth, fostering intergenerational dialogue and a shared sense of belonging within the village.
Located in the serene village of Jiyaen, situated in the Siwan district of Bihar, Jiyay Jama Masjid stands as a modest yet respected symbol of Islamic faith and village unity. The mosque occupies a central space in the village and is surrounded by farmlands, narrow pathways, and traditional homes, making it a visible spiritual anchor in the rural landscape. The masjid’s architecture is straightforward but dignified, featuring a rectangular hall with a whitewashed exterior, arched windows, and a slender minaret that adds a traditional element to its modern construction. The entrance is often decorated with seasonal flowers by the local children, especially during religious festivals. The interior of the mosque consists of a neatly maintained prayer hall with prayer rugs and a beautifully tiled mehrab pointing towards the qibla.
