Surrounded by greenery and village homes, it serves as a spiritual refuge for residents. The mosque plays a vital role during Ramadan, Eid, and Friday prayers, bringing people together in worship and community. Simple in design but rich in tradition, Jama Mosque Tetaria is a symbol of enduring faith and village unity.
Situated in the rural setting of Tetaria village, in Siwan district, Jama Mosque Tetaria is a humble and sacred structure that continues to hold the spiritual fabric of the local Muslim population together. Though not grand in architecture, the mosque’s legacy is rooted in the strong communal bonds and consistent religious devotion of Tetaria’s residents. The mosque’s exterior is built in simple concrete and brick style, with whitewashed walls and a green-painted entrance gate. The roof is flat with a low central dome, and a single minaret rises above to mark the site as a place of worship. There is a small courtyard leading to the prayer hall, where community members gather for salah (prayers) five times daily. Inside, the mosque’s mihrab and minbar are minimally decorated but functional. The prayer hall, though compact, is kept clean and orderly, with mats arranged for devotees. The imam, a resident of the village, leads the prayers and also provides religious guidance to the community. Friday (Jumu’ah) prayers are well-attended, with villagers from surrounding areas often joining in.
