The word "Qadimi" translates to "ancient" or "old", and in this context, it references the mosque’s longstanding role in the life of the village. The mosque is believed to have been constructed over a hundred years ago, although precise historical records are scarce due to oral traditions prevailing over written ones in the region. Built using locally available materials—lime plaster, baked bricks, and traditional mortar—the structure has withstood time, bearing subtle marks of weathering that enhance its character. Its compact structure includes a small prayer hall, a mihrab, and a basic ablution area. Despite its size, the masjid’s influence extends widely among the residents. Qadimi Masjid serves as the central space for the daily prayers (salah) in Bhairopur.
