Originally, a simple brick-and-lime mausoleum was constructed shortly after the saint’s death in 1142 Hijri (1730 AD) and later became the resting place of other Bohra luminaries including Syedi Jeewanji Sahab and Syedi Abdul Tayeb Zakiuddin .
