Dargah Hazrat Burhan-e-Millat, Mufti-e-Azam (M.P.), located at Aaga Chowk in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is a revered shrine dedicated to Hazrat Allama Mufti Burhanul Haque Jabalpuri, also known as Burhan-e-Millat. Born on 13 October 1894 (21 Rabiʿ al‑Awwal 1310 H), he belonged to a respected scholarly and spiritual family. After receiving his early education in Jabalpur, he pursued advanced studies in Bareilly Sharif under the guidance of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan. He mastered 45 branches of knowledge and received spiritual authority (khilafat) in 11 Sufi orders. Recognized for his deep scholarship and piety, he was honored as the spiritual son of his teacher. After the formation of Madhya Pradesh in 1956, he was appointed as the first Grand Mufti (Mufti-e-Azam) of the state. His dargah at Aaga Chowk has become a prominent spiritual center, where devotees gather annually to commemorate his Urs through prayers, chaddar offerings, and Sufi gatherings. His legacy continues to inspire many through his teachings, spiritual contributions, and literary works such as his collection of Naats, Jazbaat-e-Burhan.
