Historically, this site was constructed during the later Mughal period, showcasing a rare architectural design that reflects the Indo-Persian style. The term "Karbala" signifies a burial ground and is regarded as a sacred space for the Muslim community. The structure's architectural significance lies in its uniqueness and intricate detailing. The building features an oblong-shaped Chhatri-like superstructure, which is rarely seen. The main tomb lies in the basement and is accessed through a staircase. The gateways of the structure are flanked by two arched niches, adding to its grandeur. The superstructure is adorned with an inverted lotus design, while the parapet designs and decorated brackets supporting the eaves are remarkable. The structure comprises a square, vaulted room, which is accessible through an entrance on the southern side. Within the northern wall of this room, a staircase descends to an underground vaulted chamber, where the marble grave is situated. The construction material used for this site demonstrates a combination of durability and aesthetic appeal. The walls are built using bricks and plastered with lime mortar and cement. The cornice and roof are crafted from red sandstone, contributing to the elegance and strength of the structure.
