The Lakkarwala Burj is a remarkable monument known for its unique architectural features and historical significance. Situated on a raised 8-foot platform, the structure is domed and built with rubble, with the exterior coated in plaster. The monument is designed with arched openings on all four sides, providing a sense of openness. Its interior is highly decorative, adorned with intricate Quranic verses in incised plasterwork that encircle the room, adding to its spiritual and artistic value. Conservation efforts on this nationally protected site have focused on several key aspects. The western fa?ade has been carefully repaired and rebuilt to restore its structural integrity. The decorative plasterwork, particularly in the muqarnas and ornamentation, has been meticulously restored to preserve the craftsmanship. Jallis (decorative screens) have been re-installed, enhancing both the aesthetics and the ventilation of the space. The internal and external flooring has been refurbished, ensuring durability and historical accuracy. Finally, the parapet wall, an important feature for both security and architectural design, has been restored to maintain the monument's original form and function. These conservation efforts are vital for preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the Lakkarwala Burj for future generations.
