The tomb, often referred to as Gol Gumbad, lacks a specific name and currently does not contain a grave, though historical records indicate the presence of two graves, as noted by Zafar Hasan in 1916. However, the significance of these graves remains unclear, and they do not seem to hold particular importance. Unlike some other tombs from the Lodi Period, Gol Gumbad does not feature a Mihrab recess on the west side wall, a common element in many Islamic architectural works of the time. Architecturally, Gol Gumbad is characterized by a square base plan, which provides a sturdy and symmetrical foundation for the structure. It includes recessed pointed arches and a central doorway, over which is a finely crafted jali, or latticework, adding both functional and aesthetic appeal. On the southern side of the tomb, a staircase leads to the terrace, allowing access to the upper portion of the structure. The tomb?s domed ceiling is adorned with a beautifully ornate circular medallion at its center, showcasing exemplary craftsmanship and intricate art. This feature serves as a focal point within the otherwise simple yet solid design of the structure. Another notable characteristic of Gol Gumbad is the battlements at the parapet level, which are a typical feature found in monuments from the Tughlaq and Lodi periods. Externally, the tomb is constructed using random rubble masonry, a common building technique of the era, and is finished with a fine layer of plaster, giving it a smooth, refined appearance while retaining a robust, enduring structure.
