The Black Taj Mahal, officially known as the Tomb of Shah Nawaz Khan, is a 17th-century Mughal monument situated in Teressa, Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. Constructed between 1622 and 1623, it was commissioned by Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khanan, a prominent Mughal noble and one of Emperor Akbar's "Navaratnas" (Nine Gems), in memory of his son, Shah Nawaz Khan, who died at the age of 44 .
