The mosque, attributed to the Lodi period, holds historical significance due to its proximity to Siri Fort, although no specific individual is associated with it except for the title "Darwesh," referring to a revered saint or spiritual figure. Over time, its original architectural setting has been altered due to road construction and the development of the surrounding park, giving the structure an obscure appearance. From the park's entrance, the mosque seems to be positioned at an angle; however, an aerial view reveals its upright orientation, with the mihrab correctly aligned to the west. The remaining structure indicates that the main mihrab wall is part of an upper court built on an arched dalan. The north and south sides feature five arched recesses each, while the east and west sides have seven. The upper court, now inaccessible, shows traces of a doorway at the northeast end, suggesting the presence of a staircase leading to the upper floor. The disappearance of the entrance further adds to the enigmatic character of this architectural remnant.
