The structure is a later addition to the Chausath Khamba complex and likely functioned as a minor entrance. Modest in its appearance yet striking in design, the gateway embodies the Indo-Persian architectural style. It features a pointed recessed arch on both faces, creating a symmetrical and balanced aesthetic. This design is a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of the period, blending functionality with elegance. Recently, an iron bar gate has been installed at the gateway, possibly to enhance the preservation and security of this heritage structure. The gateway?s construction material further highlights its historical significance. The basement and walls are crafted from lakhori bricks, a traditional material known for its durability, and finished with lime mortar plaster, which adds a layer of protection and smoothness to the surface. The facade, pillars, and lintel are made of red sandstone, a material commonly used in Indo-Persian architecture for its strength and visual appeal. The warm hues of the sandstone provide a striking contrast to the subdued tones of the lime plaster, creating a visually appealing structure. Located near Janpuran, this gateway serves as a significant component of the Chausath Khamba complex, showcasing the architectural blend that characterizes the site. While it does not carry a specific local or traditional description, its design and construction materials reflect the rich heritage and architectural advancements of the time.
