The present structure was originally part of a grand residential complex, serving as a gateway attached to a haveli (mansion). This haveli, a traditional residential building, exemplified the luxurious living spaces of its time. The gateway is an impressive example of Indo-Persian architecture, blending intricate design elements with functionality. Its fa?ade is adorned with multiple arches, contributing to its stately appearance and reflecting the architectural grandeur of the period. One of its most distinctive features is the jharokha, a semi-circular projected balcony on the left side, which adds an element of elegance and uniqueness to the structure. The gateway?s upper portion is marked by a large arched opening with a semi-circular design, providing a focal point for the overall architectural composition. Supporting the arches are fluted columns with floriated capitals, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and adding to the aesthetic depth of the structure. The use of materials further enhances its grandeur; the walls are constructed with durable bricks and plastered with cement, ensuring structural stability. The fa?ade, built with red sandstone, not only adds durability but also provides a visually striking appearance that has withstood the test of time. The structure's location in Kuncha Ghasiram adds historical significance, offering insights into the cultural and architectural practices of the era.
