The Dargah of Panje Peer in Pithakhedi Jagir, Mandsaur, is a sacred and historical site associated with five revered Sufi saints (Panj Peers literally means “Five Saints”). These saints are believed to have come to this region centuries ago to spread the message of peace, brotherhood, and spiritual devotion to Allah. The dargah holds deep spiritual significance among the local Muslim community and is equally respected by followers of other faiths, reflecting the syncretic Sufi culture of Malwa region. The five saints commemorated here are traditionally believed to represent the unity of faith, sacrifice, and divine knowledge, and the shrine is considered a symbol of protection and blessings for the surrounding villages. Devotees visit the dargah to offer chadar, light incense, and make mannats (spiritual vows). Every year, during the Urs (annual commemoration), the dargah witnesses gatherings of pilgrims who come to pay homage, listen to qawwali, and partake in the communal langar (free meal).
