This structure, constructed during the reign of Shah Jahan, holds significant historical and architectural value. Originally, it was part of a larger enclosure believed to have served as a Sikargarh (a hunting lodge or enclosure). The architectural style of the building reflects the Indo-Persian tradition, showcasing a blend of indigenous and Persian influences. The building is a two-story pavilion, featuring a central chamber crowned with a Bengali dome. The chamber is accessible through three elegantly designed cusped-arch openings, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The side compartments of the pavilion are topped with pyramidical roofs, adding to the architectural diversity of the structure. The ground floor displays intricate decorative patterns carved on red sandstone, further amplifying its grandeur. Additionally, the structure boasts several arched niches and plaster relief work, which are still visible and provide a glimpse into the artistic finesse of that era. The materials used in the construction of the structure are noteworthy. The main building is constructed from red sandstone, a hallmark of Mughal architecture, and is plastered with lime, which was commonly used to achieve a smooth finish. The boundary wall surrounding the structure, however, has undergone modern interventions and is now made of contemporary bricks plastered with cement. Despite these changes, the original craftsmanship of the pavilion remains evident in its preserved elements, making it an important example of Indo-Persian architectural heritage.
