The mosque was constructed in the early 1990s by contributions from the residents of Gadiytola, aiming to provide a dedicated space for offering daily prayers, religious education, and communal harmony. The architectural style of the mosque reflects a simple yet graceful blend of local craftsmanship and Islamic design elements. The exterior is painted in light cream and green tones, featuring a small dome at the center and two symmetrical minarets marking its façade. Inside, the prayer hall is spacious, with tiled flooring and a beautifully carved mehrab facing the qibla direction. Over time, the mosque has also expanded to include a small madarsa where children receive basic religious education and Qur’an recitation training. During the holy month of Ramadan, the mosque becomes a hub of activity—hosting iftar gatherings, night prayers (taraweeh), and community charity programs. Beyond religious purposes, the Gadiytola Masjid stands as a symbol of peace, unity, and faith for the local community, continuing to nurture both spiritual and social well-being among its followers.
